Inaugural European OTM Conference a great success!

Click here for more photosThe EMEA/ASIA OTM SIG Board Committee is thrilled to announce that our inaugural OTM User Conference in Amsterdam has been a great success! We’ve gone a long way to bring this conference nearer to a large number of OTM users in Europe. The yearly OTM User Conference in the U.S. is already well established since 2007, attracting an audience of almost 400 people. This European conference brought together representatives of OTM clients from all over Europe and Asia: we have so much in common, however each one of us have our own unique specificity, experience and approaches that are interesting to other OTM users.

We had a total of 99 registered attendees representing 17 OTM client companies and 18 partners. Attending clients included APL Logistics, DHL, FIAT, GE, IKEA, Kuehne+Nagel, Lenta, Lufthansa, Mazda, Mondelez, Norilsk Nickel, DB Schenker, Schneider Electric, Transcontainer, Unilever, Volvo and Vortex, and attending partners companies were Capgemini, Croc, DSI, Gray Peaks, Hexaware, HP, IBS, Kewill, KPIT, MavenWire, Nokia, Oracle, Precision Software, Reply Business, Mahindra Satyam, Sitronix IT, TM Consulting and Transporeon.

Our thanks goes out to the many people who made this conference possible, such as the U.S. SIG Board of Directors with their continuous support for our risky adventure across the pond,  Beth McLamb (exiting U.S. Board member) who supported and advised us with her seven years of experience, Tara Zeravsky (Meeting Expectations) who did a splendid job as conference manager on her maiden European conference, Dominic Regan (Oracle) who ran his shoes off to round up many existing and potential OTM clients, Pam Vivio (U.S. Board member) who came over from the U.S. and shared her vast OTM experience in a presentation, and the Krasnapolsky Hotel staff who acted smooth and swiftly on the many late changes and requests.

We introduced quite some innovations on this conference, such as video registration of presentations, an on-line agenda with speaker bios and summaries, client interviews,  general session panel discussions, and hiring a photographer to capture the conference atmosphere as you can see here. We will definitely organise another conference next year somewhere in Europe, and as successful it was, we know there is always room for improvement – such as the breakfast. So please register yourself on this website and leave a comment below!
